After 10+ years living/working in NYC, a couple called Emily & Oliver decided to hoof it to Vermont to launch Ursa Major and get closer to the outdoors. It was a big leap. Leading up to the move they would talk often about the things they felt were really important in life and again and again the same themes would come up. In time they began calling this approach to life ‘living major’. It seemed only natural then when viewing the clear, Vermont night sky and bright stars that ‘Ursa Major’ (The Great Bear and largest constellation visible in the northern sky), with its powerful symbolism of the connection between man and his natural environment, would become the moniker by which their new venture would become known.
Most men’s skincare products and shave creams contain plenty of “power” – loads of synthetic chemicals (dyes, preservatives, cleaning or foaming agents, fragrance, etc), which at best can irritate sensitive skin and at worst are toxic!
